From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The Authority men argued amongst themselves before Triple H had enough and put Kane in a match with Roman Reigns and Rollins up against Randy Orton. J&J Security were irate and argued with Triple H before The Game put them in a handicap match with Dean Ambrose.
The Lunatic Fringe received a huge ovation from the crowd as the Cincinnati faithful welcomed their hometown hero home. Ambrose dominated over Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble and looked like he was having fun in front of his friends and family. The number one contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship won with the Dirty Deeds as he set his eyes to the Fatal Four Way Match at Payback.

Daniel Bryan made a return to the show to address his injury situation. The Intercontinental Champion said that he will have to relinquish his title as it doesn't deserve to be sitting on a therapist's chair as the crowd chanted "Thank you Daniel". Big E locked arms with Cesaro as New Day continued their rivalry with the Brass Ring Club. A brawl broke out outside the ring while Cesaro won the match with a unique roll up variation. The two teams will go up against each other one more time at Payback with the Tag Team Championships on the line.
The main event between Seth Rollins and Randy Orton was pay-per-view worthy as the two looked to outdo each other in their long lasting rivalry. Randy Orton signalled to end the match with the RKO but J&J interfered for the referee to end the match early.
