Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

A pool of over £175,000 will attract Scoop6 punters today as the bet takes in two races from Doncaster, and four from Newmarket.

The bonus prize fund rollover has grown to £111,505, while the win fund rollover of £64,043 will be the immediate target.

"A single win-fund winner, going on to scoop the bonus prize fund next weekend could be looking at a total return of around £250,000 for an investment of as little as £2," Jeremy Scott, a Tote spokesman, predicted.

"With the Stewards' Cup at Goodwood providing the big race interest tomorrow, it's great to have some big Scoop6 rollovers to help generate an additional betting focus for the day," Scott added.

The order of today's Scoop6 legs are: 2.40 Newmarket; 3.10 Newmarket; 3.25 Doncaster; 3.45 Newmarket; 3.55 Doncaster; 4.15 Newmarket.
