Your support makes all the difference.Warrington have signed two more players from Australian clubs for next season, with John Wilshere and Danny Lima both agreeing two-year deals.
Wilshere, the Papua New Guineafull-back or wing, comes from St George-Illawarra, while Lima arrives from Manly. "John possesses natural speed, great footwork and great hands," said the Wolves coach, Paul Cullen. "He adds another 'x-factor' to our back line and offers international and NRL experience." Lima joins another Australian, Chris Leikvoll, in thefront row. "He instantly adds further steel to the pack," Cullen said.
The St Helens coach, Ian Millward, has returned empty-handed from Australia, where he assessed rugby union World Cup players for league potential. "I'm still looking, but it looks as though we will go with what we've got," he said.
Hull KR are interviewing candidates, including Martin Hall, Harvey Howard and Andy Kelly, for their coaching job. Hall resigned as Rochdale coach this week, while Kelly lost his job at Featherstone last season.
For the first time, there is no Australian threequarter in the annual World XIII named by Rugby League World magazine. The back line consists of two New Zealanders - Francis Meli and Clinton Toopi - and two Great Britain players, Keith Senior and Brian Carney. Great Britain also have Stuart Fielden and Adrian Morley in the pack.
