Wigan leave out Ainscough again
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The 19-year-old winger is the leading try-scorer in the country with 19, but was also left out for the victory over St Helens at Edinburgh last Saturday.
Hull are confident that their other new overseas player Epalahame Lauaki will join them soon, despite Mick Crocker again being turned down for a visa because of an old assault conviction.
The club say they have "irons in the fire" to replace Crocker, but still expect Lauaki to arrive.
Neighbours Hull KR have agreed a three-year contract extension with their winger Peter Fox, who made his England debut last season. Chris Melling has extended his deal at Harlequins by two years.
Australia will give their full-back Billy Slater a late test on his ankle before this morning's Test against New Zealand in Brisbane. Kurt Gidley is on stand-by to replace him. The Kiwis, playing Australia for the first time since beating them in last autumn's World Cup final, are without the injured loose forward, Jeremy Smith, and the suspended Isaac Luke.
