Your support makes all the difference.The Warrington coach, Paul Cullen, has decided against putting Ben Westwood straight back into the first team for this afternoon's game against Huddersfield.
Westwood played his first game since April in the under-21s at Huddersfield on Thursday night after recovering from a broken leg.
"He came through unscathed, but he will be back in full training with the first team from Monday," said Cullen, who hopes to have Lee Penny and Sid Domic back in his side this afternoon after ankle injuries.
Cullen believes that a poor game against Castleford earlier this season could have cost Nick Fozzard his place in the Yorkshire side to face his Lancashire team in the Origin Match on Wednesday. "He has played some exceptional games this season, but there have also been some lows," he said. "Unfortunately, one of the lows was against Castleford, whose coach, Graham Steadman, is in charge of Yorkshire."
Leeds can extend their lead at the top of Super League when they go to Widnes this afternoon. Their Australian centre, Chris McKenna, has proved his fitness after injury in midweek, but the Rhinos coach, Daryl Powell, may keep the same 17 that won at Wakefield last week.
Meanwhile, London should extend their remarkable run of away form against Super League's hopelessly adrift bottom club, Halifax, despite losing Mat Toshack for six weeks with a broken bone in his leg.
The Rugby League has decided to take no action against the Bradford hooker, James Lowes, saying that there is insufficient evidence to support allegations that he verbally abused the referee, Karl Kirkpatrick, during and after the defeat by Wigan last Friday.
In National League One tomorrow, the leaders, Salford, will have the former Wigan utility player, Wes Davies, signed from Orrell, in their side for the first time against Whitehaven.
