From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Hull's second-half resurgence steadied their faltering campaign for the Super League play-offs after Warrington had looked to be on their way to a win to ease their relegation fears. Six tries in the final half-hour transformed the match after the Hull coach, Shaun McRae, admitted giving his team a roasting at half-time.

Hull suffered an early setback when their playmaker, Jason Smith, received a sickening blow on the head when mistiming a tackle. Smith was taken to hospital for precautionary X-rays. Despite his departure, Hull took the lead when Gareth Raynor beat Richard Mathers to Tony Smith's kick. It was a try that might not have been allowed if the referee, Robert Connolly, had seen a video replay.

Warrington responded immediately with Ben Westwood going over from close range and Lee Briers' kick tying the scores. Another goal, this from a penalty, gave the Wolves the lead.

Hull were lacking in direction without their captain, although Paul King was denied a messy try for an offside. Another chance went begging when Scott Logan put his foot into touch on the way to the line. Hull were left to rue those neglected opportunities when Westwood scored his second just before half time, taking a short pass and plunging over.

Warrington had to scramble to protect their lead at the start of the second half, but they saw it whittled down after 50 minutes when Graham Mackay took Logan's good one-handed pass for his 16th try of the season. Matt Crowther added his second goal. Five minutes later, Kohe-Love found a way through and Hull, despite playing so poorly for much of the match, were in front.

Incessant Warrington pressure ended with Kohe-Love leading the break out of defence for Crowther to score and Hull's revival was complete when Garreth Carvell followed up Tony Smith's little kick to twist his way over the line.

Raynor strolled in for his second, as did Crowther, who finished with seven goals to put the seal on Hull's victory.
