St Helens relax misconduct ban on Eastmond

St Helens have lifted the club suspension on Kyle Eastmond after finding him guilty of serious misconduct.

The Bath-bound scrum-half has been fined and warned about his future conduct after being found to have made "rude and offensive gestures" at Saints supporters who were jeering him at the end of their defeat by Harlequins two weeks ago.

Eastmond is now available for selection once more, although he was not in the squad to face Bradford last night. He is due to switch to rugby union at the end of this season.

Hull KR need to start living up to expectations when Huddersfield come to Craven Park this evening.

Despite the investment in players such as Willie Mason, Rovers have won just two of their six Super League games this season, with the 34-18 defeat at Salford last weekend the low point so far.

"It's a huge challenge. We haven't got off to a great start," admitted the Robins' coach, Justin Morgan. "We've had some key players out, but I've faced bigger things than this."

Morgan recalls the England winger Peter Fox after dropping him last week, and also has Scott Taylor back in this squad. Michael Dobson and Clint Newton are his influential absentees.

Huddersfield's Nathan Brown brings back Jermaine McGillvary, after opting to leave him out and play Jamie Simpson against Wigan last week.

Catalan Dragons have the winger Frederick Vaccari back in their squad to face Salford, replacing Cyril Gossard.

Castleford are adamant that there will be no repetition of last year's homophobic abuse of Gareth Thomas at tomorrow's match against Crusaders. Cas were fined £40,000 – reduced to £20,000 on appeal – after the openly gay Thomas was subjected to chanting during the fixture last season.

"We know that it was a small number of mindless fools who let down the club, the town and the sport of rugby league," said the Tigers' chief executive, Richard Wright.

Jordan Tansey, signed this week after playing briefly for Dewsbury, will make his debut for Crusaders, while Richard Owen is included in the Castleford squad for the first time since breaking his leg last February.

Hull have Kirk Yeaman back from suspension and Sam Moa from injury for their trip to Harlequins. They will face their team-mate, Mike Burnett, who is on loan to Quins.

Kyle Amor is in the same situation, playing against Leeds for Wakefield, fresh from last week's win at Hull.
