From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The Super League leaders, St Helens, have four uncapped players in the Great Britain squad for the Test against New Zealand next month.

The 20-year-old Liverpool-born prop, James Graham, is the Saint who has made the most rapid progress this season. He is joined in the 36-man squad for the match at Knowsley Road on 27 June by the versatile James Roby, who is also 20. Also in the party are the winger, Ade Gardner, and the back-row forward, Jon Wilkin, who are both 22.

There are nine St Helens players in the squad - the most from any club - but none from the season's most improved side, Salford. The other uncapped players are Hull's Kirk Yeaman, who is the leading try-scorer in Super League this season, Andy Lynch, Jamie Langley and Gareth Hock.

Lynch and Langley are two Bradford forwards left behind but not forgotten by Great Britain coach Brian Noble - who switched from Bradford to Wigan two weeks ago - while Hock is one Noble has inherited at the JJB Stadium.

Great Britain's two leading exports to Australia, Brian Carney and Adrian Morley, have both been named. They will not be available for the squad's two-day training camp next week, but will be considered for the Kiwi match.

There is no place for Hull's Jamie Thackray, Warrington's in-form Lee Briers or Henry Paul, who has played less than an hour for Harlequins.

Wigan have confirmed that their assistant coach, Andrew Farrar, will be leaving the club later this month. Farrar is being replaced by Phil Veivers, who arrived this week from Bradford.
