From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.St Helens' Test stand-off Leon Pryce has spoken out to scotch rumours that he is on his way back to his original club, Bradford. Pryce, who moved to Saints five years ago, has been repeatedly linked with a return to Odsal this winter, but says there is nothing in those reports.
"I want to end the speculation regarding my future," he said. "I love playing at Saints and I'm not going anywhere. Like a number of players, I'm under contract until the end of the 2011 season."
Pryce's declaration was welcomed yesterday by the England captain and his St Helens team-mate, James Graham. "I never believed he was going anywhere, but it's very good news, because he is one of the best backs, if not the best, in the English game," he said.
Graham also tipped Pryce to win back his England place, after being left out of the Four Nations last autumn. Graham was cautious, however, about predicting the future of two other Saints players out of contract at the end of the season – Kyle Eastmond and himself.
Eastmond has been courted by Bath, who are poised to make him a big offer when his Saints deal runs out. "He's a very special talent," Graham said of the half-back. "But if he decides that the best thing for him is to play rugby union for Bath – good luck to him."
Graham himself will be in heavy demand from Australian clubs. "But I haven't even discussed it with my family yet, so I'm not going to start discussing it now," he said.
Graham was speaking at the launch of a partnership that makes Emirates the official airline of the RFL, Super League and the England team
