The Giants put some ordinary form behind them with a convincing display, with Leroy Cudjoe, Joe Wardle and Jermaine McGillvary scoring two tries apiece. They now face a visit to Warrington or Wigan in the first round of the play-offs.
Bradford said farewell to a dismal season at Odsal with a 48-24 win over Crusaders. Patrick Ah Van finished his last home match for the Bulls with 20 points, while Brett Kearney and Olivier Elima claimed two tries each.
Hull made sure of their place in the play-offs with an impressive 50-18 victory at Castleford. Two long-range tries from the England wingman, Tom Briscoe, were the highlight as Cas slipped out of the top eight for the first time this season.

St Helens made certain of third place in the final Super League table with a 31-6 win over Salford. Saints' coach, Royce Simmons, was later critical of his captain, James Graham, who was sent to the sin-bin for kicking the ball away. "That wasn't good enough from our captain and he knows that," he said.
England winger Ryan Hall ran in a hat-trick of tries as Leeds comfortably beat rock-bottom Wakefield 64-20.
* Swinton have been rocked by the sudden death of forward Dana Wilson, a Cook Island international who was a key member of their promotion-winning team in Championship 1 this year. The 28-year-old prop was killed in a car crash in the early hours of yesterday morning, according to Swinton chairman John Kidd. “We are all stunned,” Kidd said. “Dana was a great personality who has made a massive contribution to the success the club has achieved this season.”
