Paul prepares to cause upset on return to Odsal
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Paul spent 12 seasons as arguably the pivotal player in Bradford's success in Super League. This evening he will be back at the scene of past glories after the Challenge Cup fifth-round draw paired his Co-operative Championship club with the Bulls. "I never expected to play again at Odsal, but it will be great to go back," he said. "Bradford will always be very close to my heart."
Not so close, though, that Paul would not prefer to have been playing at Leigh. "I would like to have been paired with the Bulls, but at home. We would have had our best-ever crowd, but we will just have to go to Odsal to pull off the competition's biggest-ever shock."
A Leigh side coached by Bradford's old adversary, Ian Millward, will be without the suspended winger Dave Alstead.
The Leeds scrum-half Rob Burrow is out of tonight's other tie against Blackpool, with a knee injury that the Rhinos fear could sideline him for as long as 12 weeks.
A familiar face from Championship circles makes his first appearance for New Zealand in the Anzac Test today. Aaron Heremaia cut his teeth as a scrum-half with Leigh, Widnes and Halifax, but will come off the bench as hooker for the Kiwis against Australia in Melbourne.
The Newcastle second-rower Zeb Taia is New Zealand's other new cap for a game in which they start as massive underdogs.
