The winger came back after a broken foot to score a spectacular kick-and-chase try in the Grand Final victory over St Helens. Now the 21-year-old has been given a new deal that will keep him at Headingley until after the 2011 season.
"He is certainly a player for the future and we've got a high opinion of him," the Rhinos' coach, Brian McClennan, said. "He has the potential to be one of the top wingers in the competition."
Hall will play in Leeds' Boxing Day friendly against Wakefield, Trinity's first game since the sudden death of their prop, Adam Watene, from a suspected heart attack. The two clubs have agreed that £1 from the sale of each ticket for the match should go to the fund set up in the player's memory. The Wakefield captain Jason Demetriou will wear the No 8 shirt next season in memory of his former team-mate, who died in October.
Bradford's England prop, Andy Lynch, will miss the start of the season after an operation on his neck. The surgery on the injury, which ruled Lynch out of contention for this autumn's World Cup, has been successful, but it could be three months before he plays again.
"He should be available for selection towards the end of March," said his coach, Steve McNamara, who will now be looking to the new signing from Leeds, Nick Scruton, to fill the gap.
Castleford's new signings, Rangi Chase, Kirk Netherton and James for are to play against Gateshead on Boxing Day.
The hearing to decide whether the Gateshead and former Castleford coach, Dave Woods, still has a job with the Thunder has been put off until the new year. Woods is under suspension amid allegations of a breach of club discipline.
