Injuries add to Warrington woes
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Briers had an X-ray examination on his wrist yesterday, making up a block booking with Chris Bridge (knee) and Mark Gleeson (hand), who both missed Sunday's 52-26 defeat at Castleford.
The Wolves, who are already missing Logan Swann and Paul Rauhihi, could also be without their prop forward, Paul Wood, for this Sunday's game at home to Huddersfield. Wood appears at a disciplinary hearing today, along with Castleford's Ryan McGoldrick, with whom he was sent off for fighting at The Jungle.
The Warrington coach, Paul Cullen, has blamed the referee, Steve Ganson, for the stormy second half, when three other players were sent to the sin-bin. Cullen said the game became "a circus" after Ganson failed to refer a try in the opening minutes to the video referee.
Castleford, now five points clear of last-placed Wigan, are continuing to plan on the basis of still being in Super League next season. The Tigers are being strongly linked in New Zealand with the Kiwi Test forward Awen Guttenbeil, who is being released by the New Zealand Warriors.
They are also considering a move for Mark O'Neill, with whom they were in discussions last year before he joined Leeds, who are not retaining him.
Another Kiwi prop, Roy Asotasi, who had been considering a move to Britain, has joined South Sydney.
