Toa Kohe-love rocked the visitors after 48 seconds with Hull's first try and new signing Australian Dean Treister celebrated his home debut with a try on seven minutes.
There was no way back for Huddersfield after those early blows as Hull sprinted away to a 24-0 lead at half-time.
Shaun McRae, the Hull director of rugby, said: "Our first half performance was as good as you'll see. We controlled the game, closed them down defensively and I felt we scored some good tries. Getting that early try in the opening minute set us on the way."
The Giants coach Tony Smith admitted his disappointment. "We started poorly and never really recovered," he said. "Hull got a great start and after that we just became more and more frustrated."
Leigh maintained their 100 per cent start to the National League Division One campaign as winger Damian Munro ran in a hat-trick in the 50-12 victory over Featherstone. The Centurions raced into an 18-0 lead after 15 minutes and Rovers were unable to recover. The sides meet again next week in the quarter-finals of the Arriva Trains Cup.
