Harris, who joined the club last week after ending a three-year stint in rugby union, has been cleared to play by the Rugby Football League. His registration was initially held up after his former club, Leeds, claimed that he was contracted to them. The RFL ruled against Leeds, but the Rhinos are now pursuing a separate legal action against the player.
The 28-year-old, who has not played any competitive rugby for seven weeks due to a knee injury, is likely to be used at full-back in the short term instead of the injured Michael Withers.
Bradford have also announced the signing of two juniors at half-back, Robert Senior from Shaw Cross Sharks and Ryan Atkins, formerly of Leeds Tykes.
The New South Wales coach, Phil Gould, and the legendary stand-off Brad Fittler bowed out of representative football as winners yesterday as the Blues beat Queensland 36-14 to retain the State of Origin series.
Fittler brought the capacity crowd of more than 82,000 packed into Sydney's Telstra Stadium to its feet after he charged down an attempted clearance kick with six minutes left and scored under the posts.
