Crusaders to break new ground with Newport move
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The club have struggled to attract crowds to the Brewery Field in Bridgend in their first season in Super League and were warned last week that the ground does not meet the minimum standards for the competition.
The solution is to move to Rodney Parade, the home of the Newport Gwent Dragons, for 2010 and 2011, with the long-term plan of returning to a new stadium in Bridgend after that. The Crusaders will have what amounts to a trial run at their future home when they play Leeds at Rodney Parade on 22 August.
Salford are resigned to losing their England scrum-half, Richie Myler, to Warrington at the end of the season, with a fee of £200,000 changing hands. Myler is out of contract at the end of this campaign and could then move for nothing. Salford have added 19-year-old Lewis Palfrey to their squad to play Wakefield.
St Helens' Paul Wellens is in line to return ahead of schedule from a broken bone in his hand to face Wigan tonight. Saints introduce yet another young prospect, with the centre or back-rower Paul Johnson making the squad for the first time, but Bryn Hargreaves is the latest mumps victim.
Wigan expect to be able to recall Phil Bailey, with whom they have opened talks about a new contract.
