Broncos coach Tony Rea's decision to drop three players and make seven positional changes paid dividends, with Chris Thorman getting the ball rolling after just six minutes when he crossed for a try before adding the extras himself.
Ian Knott responded for Wakefield with a try and Jamie Rooney's conversion levelled the scores, but Broncos regained the lead in the 18th minute through Dennis Moran. Thorman duly converted.
London moved further ahead six minutes later when Russell Bawden touched down. Thorman converted to secure a 10-point half-time lead.
Rooney kicked a pair of penalties for Wakefield early in the second half, but London responded with a try from Moran, converted by Thorman, who also added another penalty.
Nigel Roy then crossed and Thorman converted, and Moran secured his hat-trick two minutes from the end.
The former Great Britain player Dean Sampson, lured out of retirement by an injury crisis at Castleford, returned with a try as the visitors beat Warrington 32-16 on Saturday.
