Nick Dempsey has now added a silver to the bronze he won in 2004 (PA)
Nick Dempsey has become the first man to win two windsurfing world titles. Dempsey, the RS:X class silver medallist at London 2012, gained revenge on the Olympic champion Dorian Van Rijsselberghe with a nine-point victory at Buzios, Brazil.
There was also success for Dempsey's British team-mate Bryony Shaw, who won silver in the women's fleet behind Lee Korsitz, of Israel, for her first podium position at the World Championships.
