Neil Robertson is hoping a damaged cue tip will not scupper his chances of a first Masters title, after he won a tense quarter-final against Mark Williams 6-4 to set up a meeting with Judd Trump at Alexandra Palace.

"It's probably the worst thing to happen. I'll have to play a new one in, before the semi-final. Usually, it takes me five days to get used to a new one. Hopefully, I'll be ready but I wouldn't put money on me to win."

Trump beat Robertson 9-7 in a thrilling semi-final on his way to the UK title last month. "He's scaring opponents right now," says Robertson, "but I don't think of revenge. I have to be efficient."
