The Olympic gymnast, who won a bronze medal at London 2012, crashed into a barrier after successfully completing a jump on the Winter Olympics inspired programme.
Medical staff put Tweddle into a neck brace before she was airlifted from the mountain.
The severity of the 30-year-old's injuries are unconfirmed, although it's understood her back was hurt in the incident on Saturday and a statement from her family reveals she will undergo surgery.
"Yesterday Beth had a fall on the slopes whilst in training for The Jump. She is stable and due to undergo routine surgery on her back," said a statement released from her parents Ann and Jerry.
It continined: "Beth and the family would like to thank everyone for their good wishes. We will keep you updated on her progress."
A Channel 4 spokesman said: "The health and safety of the competitors is always paramount and Beth was immediately taken to hospital for treatment after hurting herself during training."
The latest series of The Jump, whose contestants include Linford Christie and James Argent, has already seen two celebrities pull out due to injury including Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington.
