Rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III ran for a touchdown as the Washington Redskins won the NFC East title by beating the Dallas Cowboys 28-18 late on Sunday. The Redskins will host the Seattle Seahawks next Sunday in the play-offs.
Houston's late-season slump means Denver and New England will have byes in the AFC play-offs. The Texans fell from first to third when they lost 28-16 at Indianapolis. Denver beat Kansas City 38-3 to secure the top seeding. New England thrashed Miami 28-0 for second spot.
