The vlogger stopped the 36-year-old – who played for the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls and Golden State Warriors among other franchises in his basketball career – in the second round at the weekend on the undercard of Mike Tyson’s exhibition draw with Roy Jones Jr.
It was Paul’s third boxing contest, following TKO wins over fellow YouTubers Ali Eson Gib – in January – and Deji Olatunji – in 2018.
And the 23-year-old is full of confidence, which led him to call out the UFC’s first ever simultaneous dual-weight champion, Conor McGregor.
“No other fighter with this big of a platform is calling out McGregor,” Paul told TMZ, without clarifying whether it would be an MMA or boxing contest.
“My dogs have more followers than the guy [Dustin Poirier] he’s fighting in January.
“I’m gonna win, too! That’s what I want people to understand! I’m gonna dedicate my life to winning that fight, because I’m not going in there just to say I did it – I’m going in there to f*** Conor McGregor up.”
Paul also told BT Sport that he has an interest in taking on McGregor’s team-mate Dillon Danis, saying he would “knock them both out”.
McGregor, 32, has boxed once professionally, losing to Floyd Mayweather in 2017 via a tenth-round TKO.
The Irishman is set to return to the UFC’s Octagon in January for a rematch with Dustin Poirier, whom he knocked out in the first round when the pair met in 2014.
That initial bout was contested at featherweight – where McGregor went onto become champion in 2015 – but the fighters will face off at lightweight this time around.
McGregor secured the UFC’s lightweight title in 2016, and Poirier was interim champion in the division in 2019.
