England's Russell Downing and Greg Henderson of New Zealand are the latest road cyclists to withdraw from the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, which begin next week.
Downing and Henderson join their Team Sky colleagues Geraint Thomas (Wales), Peter Kennaugh (Isle of Man), Ian Stannard and Ben Swift (both England) in pulling out of the event, which is set to take place from October 3 to 14.
Thomas, Kennaugh, Stannard and Swift withdrew yesterday citing health concerns, with Team Sky stressing the decisions to opt out of travelling to India were made by the individuals.
The non-participation of Downing, Stannard and Swift leaves England with only Alex Dowsett, Chris Froome and Jeremy Hunt as the original members of the road race squad.
Henderson, meanwhile, said he had his family to consider when weighing up his participation.
The 34-year-old said on http://www.teamsky.com: "There are just too many risks and in this situation the cons outweigh the pros.
"It's about my family. I've got to think about my wife and little girl Charlie and they don't want me going to the Commonwealth Games."
Team England have no plans to call up additional riders to the men's road race squad.
However, some members of the track endurance team may now be chosen to also ride on the road.
