Uefa has announced its first ever sponsorship deal dedicated to women's football.

The agreement with Visa, which will run until 2025, will see the company become the main sponsor of all Uefa's women's football tournaments, including the Champions League and European Championships.

The deal also covers Uefa's football marketing platform 'Together #WePlayStrong', which is aimed at getting more girls and women to play the game.

Uefa's head of women's football Nadine Kessler said: "The women's game has always had tremendous value for football and the wider society, but today marks yet another milestone for women's football and what it can offer."
