Team news
Wolfsburg star Alexandra Popp has missed her side’s recent fixtures due to a calf injury, and is a major doubt for the first leg. Marina Hegering is another who could miss out, while Lena Lattwein’s season has been ended by a broken collarbone. Jill Roord and Dominique Janssen are likely to start against their former club.
Jonas Eidevall’s squad is even more significantly depleted. Already without Vivianne Miedema, Beth Mead and Kim Little, the Arsenal manager lost Leah Williamson, who has torn her ACL, in midweek Women’s Super League action. Steph Catley is back available, though, and Caitlin Foord is another who could return.
Confirmed line-ups
Wolfsburg XI: Frohms; Wilms, Hendrich, Janssen, Rauch; Oberdorf, Roord, Huth; Brand, Pajor, Jónsdóttir
Arsenal XI: Zinsberger; Maritz, Wubben-Moy, Beattie, Rafaelle; Walti, Maanum, Pelova; McCabe, Blackstenius, Foord.
Odds
Wolfsburg win 63/100

Prediction
While Wolfsburg are also dealing with injuries, Arsenal will surely struggle in the absence of so much of the spine of their squad. Wolfsburg 3-1 Arsenal.
