Alan Pardew is hopeful he can convince Yohan Cabaye to join Crystal Palace, writes Giuseppe Muro in the Evening Standard.

Cabaye will leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer and Pardew is set to play a key role in any move for the France midfielder.

Cabaye is considering the prospect of a reunion with Pardew, his manager during three years at Newcastle, and any move would break Palace’s transfer record.
