West Ham will reportedly offer Cesc Fabregas an escape route from Chelsea if the Spaniard cannot cement himself a regular spot in Antonio Conte’s team.

Fabregas has been overlooked by the Italian in recent weeks, raising speculation over the midfielder’s future at Stamford Bridge.

Although the midfielder started for Chelsea’s London clash with Arsenal, Conte dragged Fabregas off after just 10 minutes into the second half as the Blues struggled to overturn a three goal deficit.

And while the 29-year-old recently reaffirmed his commitment to Chelsea, revealing he has never had any thoughts of leaving the club, his early-season absence has not gone unnoticed.

According to the Mirror, the Hammers are keeping a tab on the former Barcelona star’s situation and could be prepared to bring the player to the London Stadium.

Slaven Bilic’s side have endured a sluggish start to the season, having picked up three points from their opening five games, and would welcome a player of his calibre.

Fabregas has been used as a substitute for Chelsea’s first five Premier League games and has made only two starts for Conte’s side - one against Arsenal in Saturday’s derby and one against Leicester in the third round of the EFL Cup.

West Ham have also been linked with free agent Kevin Constant.

The former AC Milan defender failed to get his six-month contract with Bologna renewed and is hoping to secure a move to the Premier League.

With £6m signing Arthur Masuaku struggling to make an impression at West Ham, it’s believed the club have been contacted with regards to signing Constant.
