At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Your support makes all the difference.Rafael van der Vaart has revealed Holland team-mate Wesley Sneijder is keen to play in the Barclays Premier League.
Tottenham star Van der Vaart believes close friend Sneijder would be a good fit for Manchester United, to whom the Inter Milan midfielder has been repeatedly linked this summer.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has denied making a contract offer to Sneijder, who admitted at the weekend he could be sold before the transfer window closes.
Van der Vaart, who played with Sneijder at both Ajax and Real Madrid, told Sky Sports News: "Of course he would like to play in England, it's the biggest league in the world."
"He is a good friend of mine and we have contact almost every day. He knows what to expect in the Premier League."
When asked if he would be playing against Sneijder this season, he replied: "I hope not because Man U are going to be stronger.
"But he's a great player and he fits in well at Man U."
