Manchester United and England captain Wayne Rooney says he would consider following in the footsteps of former England team-mates and play in the US.
Rooney, 29, is currently in Seattle at the club's training base ahead of their four-match tour of the States that will begin against Club America on Saturday.
But when asked whether he would consider a move to Major League Soccer the striker said he would consider it.
“I’m obviously concentrating on Manchester United,” Rooney, who is under contract until at least 2019, told the Seattle Times.
Rooney has seen a number of former Premier League stars move across the pond after David Beckham blazed a trail after joining the LA Galaxy in 2007.
“When that time comes, that’ll be something I’d think about. (I’ll) sit down with my wife and children and decide if it would be right for me.”
