The Southampton player was quoted hinting they he would be keen on a move to the Emirates.
He apparently said: "Wenger has been talking about me. He has let it be known he would like to sign me this summer.
"Arsenal are a great club and I’d love to play Champions League football as I loved being on that stage with Celtic (who Wanywama played for before joining Southampton)."
However, the Kenyan took to Twitter this morning to quash the speculation.
"To cut the story short have never spoken to Wenger," he wrote.
The 23-year-old joined Southampton in 2013 in a £12m deal. Any move now would likely see a fee of around £20m.
