Wenger is entering the last year of his contract and despite informal talks at boardroom level about convincing the 60-year-old to extend his deal, the Frenchman has so far not committed to the club.
French full-back Sagna, though, insists the team's focus is firmly on the field. "I don't know if it will be his last season at Arsenal – we don't have to think about it," he said. "We just want to play and give back the trust he gave us. The contract situation is not a concern. Our job is on the pitch."
Sagna said Wenger's latest additions to the squad – defender Laurent Koscielny from Lorient and striker Marouane Chamakh from Bordeaux – will enable the side to deliver the trophies he feels the manager deserves.
"I don't need to say how important the boss is to Arsenal and we want to win things for him. Everything he has given us we need to give him back. We just want to stay focused on the pitch and everything will be fine."
