Seasiders want Adam back
Blackpool assistant manager Steve Thompson is keen for Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam to return to Bloomfield Road. The 23-year-old impressed on loan last season and Thompson hopes for a permanent deal. "We all know what Charlie did for us," Thompson said. "Hopefully we can come up with a transfer fee and financial package to suit him. He was a great asset to us and was a big player."
Chelsea target keen to stay
Atletico Madrid strikers Sergio Aguero and Diego Forlan want to remain at the La Liga club, sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch has said. Aguero has been linked with a £45m move to Chelsea, while former Manchester United forward Forlan is interesting Barcelona. "They have a strong commitment to the club," Pitarch said.

Robinho happy at City – for now
Robinho has dismissed reports he wants to move to Barcelona, insisting he is satisified at Manchester City. "For now there is just speculation, nothing serious," the Brazilian said. "I am happy at my club and I want to stay. I have been given no offer. I can just say Barcelona is a big club and everybody would love playing there."
Matthaus returns
Former Germany captain Lothar Matthäus has been appointed manager of Hungarian side FC Fehervar. The 48-year-old previously coached Hungary in 2004-05 and has signed a two-year deal.

Seedorf stays at San Siro
Milan's Clarence Seedorf has told Chelsea to forget about bringing him to Stamford Bridge. The 33-year-old had been linked with a reunion with new Blues manager Carlo Ancelotti, whom he worked under at San Siro. "Next year I will still be playing for Milan," the midfielder said. "I have a contract and I am a player of Milan."
Ribery not on way to Real
The Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, says the club's chances of adding Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribéry to his new galatico project have worsened. "Ribery belongs to Bayern and [the club] doesn't want to sell," Perez said. "I have to be respectful to the club. It is another thing if they change their mind."
