Gunter Back at City Ground

Tottenham defender Chris Gunter has agreed a move to Nottingham Forest, where he spent time on loan last season. Forest are also hopeful of sealing a deal for the Preston midfielder Paul McKenna, after having a £750,000 bid accepted for the 31-year-old.

New arrivals at the Kop?

Liverpool are close to completing the signing of 16-year-old Dane, Nikolaj Kohlert, from Esbjergs. "The only thing remaining is the personal contract," the midfielder's agent, Allan Nielsen, said. Meanwhile, the club's hopes of signing Alberto Aquilani remain alive, despite the Roma midfielder's agent seemingly ruling out a move this week. "We need to be open," Roma coach, Luciano Spalletti, said. "And listen to any type of offers that are proposed."
