Your support makes all the difference.Fulham head coach Rene Meulensteen has admitted to having a bid for Ravel Morrison rejected, but insisted that the West Ham United midfielder does want to come to Craven Cottage.
Meulensteen said that Fulham would consider raising their offer after the first bid, thought to be around £4million, was turned down by West Ham United. Fulham also maintain an interest in Morrison’s team-mate Mohamed Diame.
“We got knocked back,” said Meulensteen of the offer for Morrison after his side's 3-0 FA Cup replay victory over Norwich City. “We will review it and move on. I've left it with [Fulham chief executive officer] Alistair Mackintosh. I've explained how I think about the situation so I have to wait and see.” When asked whether he was confident of completing the move, Meulensteen said “that is what we are hoping for”.
Meulensteen worked with Morrison at Manchester United and said he was confident that the 20-year-old midfielder did want to leave Upton Park. “Yes, he does want to come here. I've known him obviously for a long, long time but the thing is this - we have to wait and see.”
Meulensteen was enthusiastic when asked just how much Morrison would bring to Fulham. “Youthfulness, energy, unpredictability, attacking strength. Loads of things.”
