The Uruguay international revealed earlier this summer that he was keen on a move away from Anfield, and went as far as to say Real Madrid was his preferred destination.
However, no bid from the Bernabeu followed, although Arsenal attempted to sign the striker, offering £40m.
Liverpool rejected Arsenal's bid, claiming it was nowhere near Suarez's true valuation. Since then, it has appeared that Suarez has accepted he will remain at Anfield.
However, Real Madrid could still throw a spanner in the works according to Spanish newspaper AS. If they are to tempt the Reds to sell at this late stage though, they will have to make an offer far in excess of the bid from Arsenal.
Having spent £85m on Gareth Bale, it appeared the Spanish club would be unable to make any other acquisitions, but a possible move for Suarez has become feasible now that Mesut Ozil looks likely to leave for a fee in the region of £40m - possibly to Arsenal.
Real are short of option in attack having allowed Gonzalo Higuain to leave for Napoli earlier this summer - with Karim Benzema the only established striker still at the club.
