The value of the offer is yet to be divulged, but will be less than £1m according to reports.
Ledley has been a success at Celtic Park, helping them to the Scottish Premier League title on three occasions.
The 23-year-old has been the subject of strong interest from Eagles manager Tony Pulis and the London club made their move last week.
"A bid from Crystal Palace for Joe Ledley has been accepted and it's now down to Joe & his representatives," Lennon said - revealing that the player was offered a new contract weeks ago.
"Our contract offer was there for a long time. We made Joe an offer but they weren't forthcoming & now the ball's in their court."
Palace are also interested in Blackburn Rovers defender Scott Dann and Wayne Hennessey while Ivan Ramis failed a medical this morning.
