Christian Eriksen admits he would be interested in a move to Tottenham if they make an approach. The Ajax winger could be a replacement for Gareth Bale should he leave the club this summer.

The 21-year-old, who has won 36 caps fro Denmark, has rejected interest from Russia and could reunite with his former Ajax team-mate Jan Vertonghen at White Hart Lane.

"Tottenham are a great club," Eriksen was quoted in Danish newspaper BT.

"I know from Vertonghen that it is a good club which is interesting. But there has not been any contact.

"I do not know if I am going to leave Ajax. We'll find out in two weeks.

"There are to my knowledge no negotiations right now either with a new club or Ajax.

"If there is a good approach (from another club), I see as an opportunity to try something new, but if nothing comes, I do not mind staying.

“There are Russian clubs that have called and made bids for me. I did not take much time to refuse.

"I would like to join one of the five major leagues. I have the view that I do not want to go to Russia at my age. I do not look at the money."
