Tottenham are hoping to sign Wissam Ben Yedder this month, with the Toulouse striker reportedly at the centre of a £7.5m deal. With 12 goals in 21 appearances the 25-year-old is being considered by various clubs, although prising him away from his current club might be difficult with Toulouse fighting a relegation battle. It is an open secret that Spurs are seeking cover and competition for Harry Kane.

Said Berahino is another linked with a move to Tottenham, with the north London club bidding for the England Under-21 international last summer. The West Brom player is keen on a move and it's thought a deal could be done, but it might not be with Spurs. Bookmakers have recently slashed the odds on the 22-year-old moving to Chelsea instead.

But Ben Yedder and Berahino aren't the only options in attack it seems - Jackson Martinez is also being linked with White Hart Lane. According to reports a bid of £22.8m has been rejected for the Atletico Madrid striker. The 29-year-old has failed to make much of an impression since joining from Porto in the summer, but apparently his current club aren't keen to do business. If claims he has a release clause of £26.6m are true, Spurs could be tempted to up their offer and give Atletico no option.

Andros Townsend rumours continue to circulate, although the latest reports are conflicting. Some suggest that Newcastle are on the verge of completing a deal that will see the England international move to St James' Park, however others claim that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is holding out for £14m which Newcastle consider too expensive.

Emmanuel Adebayor could be set to sign for a new club this month, however Tottenham may have to continue paying his wages even if he does. The striker was cut loose in September but Spurs have continued to pay him £100,000-a-week. According to the Daily Mail, if a new club fails to pay him that much, Tottenham will have to top up his pay-packet until June. Watford and Crystal Palace are rumoured to be leading the battle to sign the former Arsenal player.
