Tottenham have rejected Watford‘s £14m bid for Danny Rose, The Independent understands.

Rose was left out of Tottenham’s travelling squad for their pre-season tour of Asia so he could “explore opportunities with other clubs” but no feasible approaches were made for the 29-year-old.

The full-back has two years left on his current contract with Daniel Levy believed to be willing to sanction Rose’s departure after Spurs completed the £25m signing of Ryan Sessegnon earlier this afternoon.

After a period of protracted negotiations that continued throughout the summer, Tottenham finally came to an agreement with Fulham last night before the player passed his medical earlier today.

Tottenham are also set to confirm the signing of Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy before the transfer window shuts at 5pm.
