Your support makes all the difference.Danny Rose may have played his last game for Tottenham Hotspur after being left out of their travelling party for their pre-season tour of Singapore and China.
The club confirmed that Rose, along with Vincent Janssen and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, is being “granted additional time off in order to explore prospective opportunities with other clubs.”
Rose has long been linked with a move to Manchester United, but the details of his next club remain uncertain.
Elsewhere, Kieran Trippier is on the verge of completing a £25m move to Atletico Madrid.
Trippier still has three years remaining on the contract extension he signed in 2017, although The Independent understands Spurs are poised to accept a fee that could rise to £25m through performance-related bonuses.
It is not thought that Tottenham will move in the transfer market to replace Trippier with Serge Aurier and the highly-rated youngster Kyle Walker-Peters believed to be adequate depth.
Spurs are in the midst of a squad overhaul, having ended their long wait for a signing by completing the transfers of Jack Clarke, from Leeds United, and Tanguy Ndombele, from Lyon.
It is thought that the club are likely going to have to sell to add further players to the squad.
The club continue to monitor Dani Ceballos’ situation, although Sky Sports are reporting that the Real Madrid midfielder would prefer a move to Arsenal as he feels he would get more opportunities there.
Ceballos would be an adequate replacement for Christen Eriksen should leave the club. Real Madrid were poised to chase Eriksen ahead of Zinedine Zidane’s appointment, but they have since cooled their interest.
The Independent understands Eriksen’s camp is put off by Manchester United’s lack of Champions League football, but the Old Trafford club feel they may be able to persuade him to join before the transfer window closes.
Eriksen has one year left on his current contract and told the club he wants to play elsewhere following the Champions League final defeat.
Spurs could be given Roma attacking midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo for a cut price as part of a deal that will see Toby Alderweireld go the other way.
Roma are struggling to get together the outright £25m needed to trigger the Belgian defender’s release clause and may offer Zaniolo to Tottenham as a way of sweetening the deal, claim The Mirror.
Eriksen and Alderweireld were both named in Tottenham's squad to travel to Asia.
