From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

As Mauricio Pochettino prepares his side for a first Champions League challenge in six years, he has begun bolstering his squad ahead of the new campaign.

Victor Wanyama has followed Pochettino from Southampton to strengthen the midfield, while Vincent Janssen has arrived from the Dutch league to aid Tottenham's attacking options.

The north London side have been linked with a number of other players, with further arrivals expected before the closure of the transfer window at the end of next month.

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou is close to completing a move from Marseilles, while Spurs have also been linked with a number of defenders.

Pochettino's stock remains high at White Hart Lane, having followed a League Cup final in his first season at the club with a sustained title challenge last season, before they tumbled to third on the final day.

Another title challenge has been spoken off by supporters, although with new managers awakening things at Chelsea and both Manchester clubs, Spurs could find repeating last year's heroics a challenge.

So who are Spurs targeting and how will their squad shape up come the start of the Champions League in September? Take a look at the gallery above to see which players they have been linked with.
