Cristiano Ronaldo wants to keep Sergio Ramos out of the clutches of Manchester United, according to reports.

Real Madrid defender Ramos is the subject of a £35.4m bid from Old Trafford as they look to snatch the Spain international away from the Bernabeu.

The player is keen on a switch and has told his club to listen seriously to offers for him, however United are yet to match Real Madrid's valuation.

Ronaldo is against Ramos joining his former club with Spanish newspaper AS reporting that the Ballon d'Or holder took time out from his holiday in Miami to call his want-away team-mate.

The Independent understands Ramos wants his future resolved one way or the other inside the next two weeks.
