Chelsea star Eden Hazard has spoken publicly for the first time about speculation linking him with Read Madrid, insisting: 'I am happy here'.

The Belgium international has been in sparkling form for Jose Mourinho's men this term, pushing them towards the Premier League title, but reports linking him with a switch to the Bernabeu refuse to go away.

Real assistant manager Zinedine Zidane spoke passionately about the 24-year-old's qualities in a recent interview while Mourinho was forced to address this issue this week.

He told reporters: "If they want him (Hazard) I think I would be the first to know because of my relationship with the president (Florentino Perez) and chief executive (Jose Sanchez)."

When asked if £100m would be enough to prize the attacking midfielder away from Stamford Bridge, the Chelsea boss was cheeky in his reply.

"Yes, plus one of their best three players (Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez). £100m each leg because he is very young," Mourinho beamed.

And Hazard has moved to refute the speculation, telling Sky Sports: "I am happy here. I play with big players and the most important thing is I want to win trophies and with this club, it is possible."

Hazard has been nominated for PFA Player of the Year after scoring 18 goals and providing 10 assists over another landmark season. He is under contract at the west London club until 2020.
