Chelsea’s interim manager said Hazard could move on at the end of the season. The Belgian has struggled for form, scoring his goal of the campaign during the 5-1 win over MK Dons in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday.
Real Madrid have long made their admiration known for the Belgian, and Hiddink admitted he is unsure what will happen during the summer.
“It’s not up to me – it’s up to the club,” Hiddink said. “My advice to Eden is he could be a Chelsea great for years to come – but he could leave in the summer.
“He’s of big value to Chelsea – a very important player, a nice player. But he’s been struggling with injuries for a while now.”
Hazard was voted the PFA Player of the Year last season but his poor form since then has lead to speculation that he will look to move on.
