From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. The Colombian has failed to make an impact at Old Trafford during his loan from Monaco, finding the back of the net just four-times. His poor form means United are almost certain to decline the opportunity to sign him on a permanent contract, but the lack of goals hasn't put off Tottenham and Chelsea according to the report.
A possible arrival at Manchester United is Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne. The 23-year-old has been linked with making the same move as Luke Shaw last summer and a report in the Sun today suggests he has declined a new contract at St Mary's in a bid to force a move to Old Trafford.
Arsenal are among those already making plans for next season and according to Spanish website Fichajes.net, they've identified Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan as a key target. According to the report the Gunners have been scouting the Armenian international closely.
Defeat to Manchester United on Sunday has put a huge dent in Tottenham's hopes of finishing in the top four but it seems the club is determined to equip themselves for next season. As well as being linked to Falcao, rumours of a deal for PSG striker Ezequiel Lavezzi persist. However their hopes of signing the Argentina international could be complicated should a report in the Sun today claiming that Atletico Madrid have also set their hearts on signing the 29-year-old when the transfer window re-opens be true.
Liverpool have been linked with two players today, with Newcastle United's Dutch defender Daryl Janmaat and Benfica winger Eduardo Salvio apparently possible targets this summer. Janmaat has apparently caught the attention of Brendan Rodgers according to the Daily Star and is seen as an ideal replacement for Glen Johnson who is out of contract at the end of the season. Meanwhile Salvio's buy-out clause is set to be reduced according to Portuguese website Ojogo.
