Pedro is on his way to Chelsea, he is having a medical in London, and Manchester United have missed out on their main transfer target from over the last month.

United manager Louis van Gaal had not convinced the player enough that he wanted him, and the Blues have swooped in to complete the £22m move, after meeting Pedro's release clause.

United chief-executive Ed Woodward even flew to Catalonia this week, but the clubs could not complete a move.
