Your support makes all the difference.Paul Pogba returning to Manchester United has been the worst kept secret of the summer transfer window; but no one could have predicted it would have announced by UK-grime sensation Stormzy.
On Monday evening, the rapper posted a promotional Adidas video featuring Pogba dancing to his freestyle ‘Nigo Duppy’.
The advert ends with Stormzy revealing Pogba’s name on the back of his United jersey.
The video was quickly removed from his Facebook page, prompting suggestions the announcement had been accidentally leaked.
Three hours later, Adidas posted the video on Twitter, describing Pogba and Stormzy as “the new young kings of Man Utd”.
What can we learn from the advert?
The transfer may have been completed last month
Pogba’s hairstyle is slightly different to the official club pictures released on Tuesday which has led to speculation that the transfer had been completed long ago.
It’s clear that Pogba is not shy of the limelight
The 23-year-old can be seen happily grooving, from dabs and dribble dancing to ‘Hotline Bling’; United fans will be hoping to see these celebrations once the new season commences.
Adidas played its part in the transfer saga
Last week, the advert below teased Pogba staying at Juventus, suggesting fans should not believe everything they read.
A week later, their latest advert provides confirmation of the world-record transfer. Bravo.
