Manchester City are determined to land Paul Pogba this summer, but the Champions League finalist could cost the Premier League club more than £150m, according to reports.

The Daily Star claim Juventus are demanding £80 before allowing any club to speak to the 22-year-old midfielder, who left Manchester United in 2012 on a free transfer after falling out with Sir Alex Ferguson.

Pogba has garnered the interest of a number of clubs across Europe, with City rivalling the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal for his signature. Barcelona are also believed to be determined to land the France international, while Paris Saint-Germain are hoping that a return to his homeland will sway him in their favour.

One potential problem for any club hoping to land Pogba though it that it’s reported he is looking for a five-year £250,000-a-week contract, and with a hefty £10m signing on fee, a total package for his transfer would cost an incredible £155m.

Pogba is one of a number of players that City have identified as key transfer targets this summer. The Independent revealed that City want to sign former Chelsea midfielder Kevin de Bruyne from Wolfsburg, and have already seen a bid rejected by Liverpool for wantaway winger Raheem Sterling.

One possibility that could help fund the deal for Pogba is the exit of striker Edin Dzeko, who is closing in on a move to Italian side Roma on a season-long long subject to a permanent deal. The Serie A side will pay up to £2.2m for next season, with the option of paying £13m to complete the transfer next summer.
