Chelsea are understood to be on the verge of signing Brazilian youngster Nathan in a £4.5m deal.

According to reports, the 19-year-old has flown in to London this week to undergo a medical and put the final touches on a contract with Jose Mourinho's side.

Nathan, a playmaker who tends to operate on the left and considered to have huge potential, will arrive from Atletico Paranaense.

Chelsea's move for Nathan follows the successful signings of Brazil internationals Oscar, Willian and Ramires over recent years.
