Luke Shaw appears to have dropped a hint on the future of former Southampton team-mate Morgan Schneiderlin.

The Frenchman has been widely reported to have agreed a £25million move to Old Trafford ahead of rivals Arsenal and Tottenham, who have both been heavily linked with the midfielder this summer.

Shaw and Schneiderlin were team-mates at St Mary's between 2011, after Shaw's departure, and the left-back's departure last summer.

The 19-year-old seems to have added fuel to the fire of where Schneiderlin will move this summer.

Shaw took to Twitter to hit 'favourite' on a Tweet that linked the Frenchman with Manchester United ahead of Arsenal. We know this is clutching at straws quite a bit (or rather a lot) but Shaw later undid the 'favourite' after it was picked up by eagle-eyed users on the site.

It likely just means that Shaw would welcome a former team-mate at his new club.

It's not the first time that the 'favourite' button has been used by players this summer - Yannick Bolasie fueled speculation he was moving to Spurs by and Marcos Rojo appeared to be championing the signing of Argentina team-mate Nicolas Otamendi.
